the house of wigs #4 · filed 05/30/03 · transcription rina trimino I am no longer allowed to write about beverages here because I’m going to be writing about them someplace else, but I thought I’d wrap up the iced-tea-n-lemonade topic since a couple people wrote in about that. Evidently calling that sweet concoction an “Arnold Palmer” is not something peculiar to my little brother. Up until yesterday, I’d only ever heard him call it that, and he’s a big golfer so I thought maybe he invented the name. Although now I seem to recall him ordering it at a restaurant and the waiter did not look baffled at all. So yeah: Arnold Palmer. Although I think that’s a stupid name, and half-and-half is even worse since that name was already taken. Taken by something that you wouldn’t necessarily want to chug in large quantities, which is lemonade/tea’s primary characteristic. |
